One of my favorite things about The Goblin Emperor is the way Maia's perspective and values allow him to make big changes, largely with the help of those who appreciate it and are fiercely loyal to him because of it. The worldbuilding is also so fun (I love the conlang and am delighted whenever fic writers play with it).

There's so much you could do here and if you have your own idea I'd love to read it. But if you need a place to start, I have a few ideas:

All I really need is that she's important to them and they're important to her and that any future they want involves all three of them.

I am here for any yhk but some stuff I've liked: when each of them is jealous of what the other two have, when yjh and hsy are trying so hard to make kdj understand that he is loved and wanted and needed, kdj feeling disgusted by his desires/wants (even if it's just to be held). I really like transfem yjh and/or kdj.

Art: I love when kdj's face is obscured. Kaizenix arc has really good potential always. Get sad with it with 49% and the hospital bed. Space between yoohan indicating kdj's absence. The subway! Anything symbolism with the author/character/reader dynamic. Matching costumes.

Thank you so much! I cannot wait to see what you write, I am sure I'll love it. I'm also falloutcoy on ao3. I've known about Yuletide for a while but never worked up the courage (or had the time) to join until this year.

I love this game a lot and I really enjoy the Tabby and PC dynamic. A connection that never got a chance to develop before, but now they're all they have of their family. Tabitha's cold demeanor that she feels she has to uphold, to be the tough one, and the way you can get her to trust you and drop it slightly, it's so good. I think a CYOA/interactive fic could be fun if you wanted to go that route, but I know that's a lot. Also, my PC uses they/them and I would prefer that be used please! If you write smut, any genitalia is fine by me.

Tabitha and PC could sit down and have a heart-to-heart (or have something supernatural force them into one!) Does she resent that Vivian got out before the Hollow could get it's claws in PC? Does she wish PC grew up with her? A lot of things to explore.
Casefic (or adjacent) where something happens at the estate or the mines and PC and Tabby have to investigate.
There's an interaction you can get before the haunting that I really enjoyed where Stella says the player character is going with her and Tabitha is like, "No, they're going to go hide in a closet with me." It kind of inspired this idea of the PC being something they fight over. You're free to run with that and take it any direction! (And I do mean any; smutty or romantic or gen in any combination/directions!)

DNW exception here; I would be okay with a university/college AU for Scarlet Hollow, especially if a degree of the supernatural elements are kept.

One of my favorite things about canon is how it often has characters being forced to accept care/affection/etc (as a friend of mine called it, feelings cnc). More of that is always welcome! I also really appreciate its focus on platonic relationships as deep and important. I really enjoy Maia/Csethiro/Csevet as a ship, though, and think the dynamic between Maia and his first Nohecharei can be sexy.

Gen prompts:

Sickfic, especially focused on Maia or Celehar! Force these guys to let someone take care of them please! A fic where Maia falls ill and wakes up to his nohecharei worriedly fussing over him while Csevet furiously clears his schedule could be just perfect

What does being trans look like in this world? I think the Mazei would be a great way to explore this! (I understand this might conflict with the non-canonical bigotry DNW; Just don't make any canon book characters bigots or be super violent please. If it's treated similarly to being marnis, we're good)
Maybe some in-universe newspaper articles about the events of the books, to give an idea of the perspective outside of the POV characters? Could provide context and build on details about the culture

Messily figuring out polyamory is always fun. And I do mean I love it messy; I would eat up something where Maia feels guilty for having romantic feelings for someone else even though he loves Csethiro and wants to do right by her, and does not handle it the best
Sweet smut of Maia and Csethiro figuring things out together
Beshelar (and/or Cala) doing some sexy devotion to Maia, who is really quite conflicted about his enjoyment

Fandom-specific DNWs: romantic Iäna/Celehar (QPR or secret third thing okay!), unhappy marriage between Maia/Csethiro (there can be tensions/problems but I'd want them to get mostly resolved, whether that means a platonic political marriage, polyamory, falling in love over time, or something else)

Ancillary Trilogy
Characters requested: Any

Imperial Radch is one of my favorite series of all times for so many reasons, but especially because of the ways it addresses grief and questions of personhood. I also think all the characters are fascinating and the messy dynamics they have are just, chef's kiss. Fic of any of the characters in the tagset would be great but I've got a lot of prompts specifically about Sphene, Tisarwat, Mercy of Kalr, and worldbuilding! In terms of shipping, I really love the weird, not platonic but not really romantic thing that is Mercy/Breq/Seivarden (optionally with some Seivarden/Ekalu in there too).

Sphene:

Pre-canon exploration of what it was like to be alone for so long, or what it was like pretending to be Anaander
Post-canon exploration of its grief! Maybe the tea set is finally repaired and its having strong feelings about that?
What does Sphene's friendship with Dlique/Zeiat look like?

Tisarwat:

Her confusing identity issues are like catnip to me, anything surrounding that!
What was it like during her time right after her implants being taken out?
A fic focused on her developing friendships, especially with Basnaaid. (You could go real angsty with some guilt surrounding what happened to Awn, even though it wasn't exactly her. Again, playing into identity issues.)
Does she obtain more authority on Athoek Station, and how does she (and others) feel about it?

Mercy of Kalr:

Trying to navigate its relationship with Breq (I love the weird thing it has with her, especially when it uses Seivarden as intermediary)
Post-canon, does it get ancillaries again? What about the biomechs, how does it feel about them after some time?
Mercy of Kalr and/or Breq getting some non-sexual pleasure out of Seivarden and Ekalu's very sexual pleasure (the voyeurism of being able to sense the way their bodies react? chef's kiss)

Worldbuilding:

What is it like inside the Radch proper?
Anything about the translators and their culture. It's so strange and fun!
Ramifications of the injunction (kind of?) while the treaty status of AIs are being determined

I love whole cosmos, but especially the original series! It's so hard to nail what I love about it but I am obsessed with the messy dynamics (Jonas/Phineas, Saskia&Weepe, and the whole mess that is Lark/Sherman/Harry/Imogen especially) and the ways characters try to navigate them. I can't get enough of the way the Trust is a distillation of the alienation under capitalism. I also love the Fold and Tearrors and think they make really good plot points for fic.

Jonas:

Jonas/Phineas smut! Especially if it plays into pre-canon/early canon power dynamics
- Fold-mediated fuck-or-die scenario?
- Hooking up, both deciding it was a terrible idea, but they keep coming back
I headcanon Jonas as having his leg amputated post-canon and would definitely love something that includes that, even in a minor way.
I think he's got a lot to unpack, what with kind of being groomed to be a child soldier and all that (he can't have been more than a teen when he was the Adsecla who recused Phin!)

Lark:

Fic about the jobs she had before settling on Midst?
Maybe something where she survives canon and ends up in the worlds messiest tangle of relationships with Sherman, Hieronymous and Imogen

Morgan and Emma's dynamic is really tasty, rivals are always fun especially when both of them are very intense and weird! Honestly, whatever you write, as long as they're not normal about each other I am going to be happy.
